Science has proven what each of us already instinctively knows: spending time outdoors in nature not only has a positive effect on our entire being, but it connects us more deeply to the earth and to each other.

Guided Forest Bathing is an emerging personal wellness practice that is gaining popularity world wide. It is a researched based nature immersion practice that decreases stress, lowers heart rate & blood pressure, has a positive effect on our immune system and general sense of well being.

Blue Fern Forest Bathing sessions create a safe yet expansive space where you can slow down, breathe in nature, and quiet your mind and see what unfolds in the process. Each guided session includes sensory invitations, slow forest walking immersion, a tea gathering and connection with the β€œmore than human world.”

Here at Blue Fern, I spend my time helping people experience the wellness benefits of Guided Forest Bathing.

Many people ask: β€œIsn’t Forest Bathing just like walking in the woods?” And that’s exactly what I thought too, that is, until I tried it.

Despite having spent my entire life in the woods, after just a few guided Forest Bathing sessions it's like my eyes were opened and I was full immersed and experiencing nature for the first time.

I noticed for hours and even days after a session I felt calm, grounded, and peaceful. I knew the forest accepted me and that I had found home again.

Blue Fern Forest Bathing Sessions

This is the heart of Blue Fern. Public group guided sessions in coastal & inland forest settings. We work with land trusts, nature preserves, state & town parks and national wildlife spaces to create a 2-3 hour Forest Bathing outdoor wellness experiences. Each session ends in a tea gathering! $40 each person. A portion of every session benefits a local land trust.

Private Forest Bathing Sessions

Imagine a birthday party where you slow down, listen to the ocean seated among whispering pine trees, and have deep conversation over a tea gathering in the forest. A wonderful way for groups of 2 or more to have a more customized and private experience. Perfect for friends, a family on vacation, or other small groups. We can tailor the session and have access to less travelled more private forest areas. $175 for 2 + $25 per person after that. A portion of every session benefits a local land trust.

Team & Corporate Wellness Sessions

Increase cooperation + creativity and de-stress together with our custom designed team sessions. 1/2 day, full day and multi-day options at your space or a retreat center or park. Options to add on other mindfulness practices & services such as meals, tea ceremonies, flower arranging, QiGong, Yoga and others. Great for de-stressing during or after a big project and team building. 5-25 ppl. Inquire for details.
